Q. What haven't you told us yet, which feels important to you?
I suppose what’s important to me at this time is just to keep the kids feeling upbeat. In Northern Ireland our educational authority haven’t even outlined how the kids will return to school in August and what measures will be put in place. At the minute it’s very up in the air and nothing concrete has been stated or outlined. It’s such a pity there’s nothing stable for the children. My secondary school child now heading into year 9 had a cheap year 8 and was in a bubble classroom or doing remote learning for nearly the whole year. When I seek help for her mental health I come to brick walls and that’s so unfair. Covid has made waiting lists longer. My son hasn’t coped with the change and he has now been refused a place with a mental health team due to the extensive waiting list. To me that’s all a shambles.
